What are Toobees? Well, you may have heard of these cool cords out there - they are stitch holders if you haven't heard. We wanted to bring them in from a supplier over in Europe. We looked at the cost to get them here (conversion rates / shipping / customs fees) and it felt like we could offer something at a better price point, so, like a few others out there, we decided to make our own and we have called them Toobees.
Toobees are stitch holders. They easily go on the ends of your circular needle so you can slide the tube through your stitches (removing the needle as you go) so you can easily try on your garment, or you can pull the cable all the way through your stitches to put them on hold and tie the ends together so no stitches get dropped. These are more secure than the tradition 'big safety pin' style stitch holder that can open up while you are working on another part of your project. These are also an improvement to using scrap yarn as you eliminate the risk of your scrap yarn felting into your live stitches.
